Looking to Volunteer, but don't want to be on the board?
Posted on Jun 15th, 2021

The TVCA board has created (1) new committee and is in the process of starting another, both of which you do not have to join the board to be a part of!  The newly created committee is the "Records Committee".  Those on the committee meet on Monday in the PM and are currently sifting through 50 years of records and files in attempt to review, organize and determine what should be kept and what should be placed in File 13.  Once critical file mass is achieved, the files deemed worthy to keep are planned to be digitized so current and future residents can more easily find information hopefully through a searchable database in the community file room.

The next committee created will be tasked with conserving and improving our natural areas in our parks, greenbelts and common areas here in Trailwood.  The first tentatively scheduled event will be planting trees in celebration of Trailwood Village's 50th Anniversary on or around Texas Arbor Day which is always the 1st Friday in November.  To get the ball rolling, we have received guidance from Texas A&M Forest Service regarding a "Community Forest Plan" (CFP) that will enhance "The Livable Forest" here in Trailwood for the next 50 years.  If you are interested in helping out in the planning and execution of the CFP, please let us know via the "Contact Us" tab on the website, reach out to a board member on Nextdoor or come to a monthly board meeting.
